Mother Bethel Hill Jones was born August 1, 1927 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Mr. Christopher Columbus Jones and the late Mrs. Ruby McCauley Jones. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital.

At an early age, Mother Hill accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Lowes Chapel United Methodist Church. She later changed her membership to Morris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Bethel was united in Holy Matrimony to the late, Mr. Oscar Hill Sr. to this union twelve (12) children were born, six of which preceded her in death.

Her loving memory will always be remembered by her loving children: Mr. Johnnie Hill (Louise), Mr. Oscar Hill Jr. (Ella), Ms. Patricia McDonald, Mrs. Susie Leslie (Curtis), Ms. Melody Brooks, Mr. Christopher Hill (Tara) and Mr. Michael Hill (Pamela), all of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Mrs. Celeste Jones Rejas of Brooklyn, New York; eighteen (18) grandchildren, fifteen (15) great grandchildren, five (5) great great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Mr. Lawson Hill Jr. (Odell); three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Ethel Jones of Huntsville, Alabama, Mrs. Gracie Lacy of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Dorothy Jean Hill of Huntsville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Morris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church (2135 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Derrick Langford officiating. Interment will be in the Brandowtown Cemetery. Mrs. Hill will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

A Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Royal Chapel of Memories.

Public Viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013; and from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Royal Funeral Home.
