Ida Mae Andrews was born on April 5, 1946 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Mary Lillian Glaze and John Dukes Menefee. She confessed hope in Christ at the age of eleven at Canaan Baptist Church at Roanoke, Alabama. God called her home on February 27, 2013.

Ida Mae graduated from Randolph County Training School in the class of 1964. She also graduated from J.F. Drake Technical College School of Nursing.

She leaves to cherish her memories her one and only daughter; Jacqueline Sheree Andrews of Denver, Colorado; two sons, Ira Donnell Andrews (Jacqueline) and Gary Lawrence Andrews (Constance) all of Stone Mountain, Georgia; her one and only grand-daughter, Brittany Danielle Andrews; four grandsons, Jonathan Aaron Andrews, Christopher Alan Andrews, Garrett Conner Andrews, and Garrison Boyd Andrews; eight sisters, Catherine Strong, Voncille Broom, Doris East, Deloris Milinkee (Raymond), Gloria Menefee, Sharion Menefee, Faye Menefee, and Winchee Menefee; and a host of nieces, and nephews and loving relatives.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Owens Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (2520 Elton Road; Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor H. Wendell Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Ms. Andrews will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Royal Chapel of Memories.

Public viewing will be 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013; and from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Royal Funeral Home.
