Mr. Dedrick Montrel Miller

Mr. Dedrick Montrel Miller entered into this world May 10, 1973, to proud parents, John and Cleo Bradley Miller. From the early years no one could have ever imagined that he would have such a brilliant smile. Through the years he came to perfect that smile and was destined to share his contagious smile with everyone he came in contact with.

Dedrick’s childhood days in Bilow was filled with fun and contentment. Upon his family’s move to Huntsville “D-Nice” formed a forever friendship with the Green Meadow Crew (Clifton, Felicia, Ferrisho, Michael, Lynda, Monica, Ronnie). He attended East Limestone High school where he was a member of the Marching Band Drum Line. He was a member of the graduating class of 1991. He furthered his education by attending Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and University of Alabama Huntsville.

Dedrick learned from his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents the importance of faith and love, with their guidance formed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America Church family.

His infectious smile and outgoing personality proved to be a valuable asset in his 22 year career with Four Points by Sheraton and Huntsville International Airport. His level of professional service was unsurpassed and shared with persons on local, state, national and international levels.

His sisters Felicia (Brian) and Jacquese (Mario) are blessed to know the love, understanding and protection of their brother and will forever remember his integrity. Felicia and Jacquese will forever know Dedrick was the true personification of the word “brother.”

Uncle “D”, as he was lovingly known to his nephews, Ian and Neil was the most giving and fun-loving uncle any man could hope to be. “Nephew” and “Neilleo” grasped the Pride of the Auburn Tigers through Uncle “D”. They will always remember the good times hanging with their Uncle “D”.

His love and kindness will be treasured by his special friend, Cicily. Tiara will always remember the expressions of fatherly love shown to her. Dedrick truly loved getting together with his family and friends joking and sharing great times. Although, he may not have brought a dish he made sure there was always an abundant supply of paper products and charcoal at family gatherings. His uncles, James (Glenda), Tom Eddie (Vernell), Willie, Thomas, Leo (Miranda), Rickey (Cathy), and Kenya (Inez) will always honor the memories of Dedrick. His aunts, Brenda, Jennifer, Magdalene, Marilyn, Rosemary (Quinton), Carmellia, Cornelia and Melissa, will always cherish precious memories of Dedrick, along with a smile and kiss on the cheek.

There are numerous relatives, great-grandfather, Oliver (Mable) Ragland; friends and co-workers that won’t be able to keep from smiling when they think of Dedrick, and all the great memories he has given us to carry throughout our lives.

Dedrick also had a fondness for his dogs Elante’, Tamala, Doughboy, Capri, Mocha.

This world has truly been blessed to have known and experienced the priceless smile, joyful laughter, and generous spirit of Dedrick Montrel Miller.

Dedrick Montrel Miller, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and MAN transformed to his eternal home September 11, 2013.
